From The Studio - November
Dear friends and collectors,
Last week, we had an amazing snowstorm here at the studio. Being snowed in provided a great opportunity to just hunker down and focus on simple pleasures: preparing a beautiful meal, enjoying the quiet, working on paintings, and dreaming. I am currently creating a new series of drawings for the “Masters of Drawing” Exhibition, which will open in February 2025 at the Maynard Dixon Museum | Medicine Man Gallery in Tucson, AZ. I am very excited as drawing is one of my first loves; I find it very meditative, and I don’t often get the opportunity to share this part of my studio practice.
As the days get shorter and Thanksgiving is just around the corner, I want to give a huge shoutout and thank you for your enthusiastic support! And as promised, and per my birthday tradition, I want to celebrate by announcing my special print drop! See details below for this exclusive offering.
Thank you again for following my adventures from the studio! Happy Thanksgiving, and warmest regards to you and your family!
~Kathryn

I am excited to be heading to Tucson later this week for the Grand Opening of the Maynard Dixon Museum on November 22nd, where my painting is featured in the "Those Who Follow" exhibition currently on display in the museum. Off the Easel…
I created this piece after one of my many painting trips to Plaza Blanca, also known as The White Place. It is so named because the sandstone cliffs appear almost white in the afternoon sun. Legions of artists, including Georgia O'keefe, were inspired by these striking formations. I found the juxtaposition between the shapes and colors very compelling, therefore I chose to keep the composition simple and focus on the elegance of the place.
With Thanksgiving around the corner and the holiday season quickly approaching, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support. I’m so thankful for this growing community and the opportunity to share my work and story with you.
Wishing you a season filled with warmth, inspiration, and plenty to be grateful for!
