I am thrilled and honored to be showing with esteemed colleagues and alongside renowned artist Maynard Dixon at the “Masters of Drawing” exhibition at Medicine Man Gallery | Maynard Dixon Museum. My paintings will also be exhibited during my special “Guadalupe Street Feature” at Blue Rain Gallery in Santa Fe, and I am back at the Autry Museum this year with a painting for their small works show. My studio is brimming with action during this winter season. A few important upcoming dates to consider: a day-long Painting Workshop, several exhibitions, including the prestigious “Masters of Drawing Exhibition” and special Guadalupe Street feature in Santa Fe, as well as small work available at the Autry Museum. In the soft glow of winter’s light, where adobe walls meet the sky's endless canvas, I find myself filled with gratitude for the beauty that surrounds us and the connections that sustain us. This holiday season, may your days be painted with joy, your nights sculpted in peace, and your heart illuminated by the warmth of those you hold dear. Like the vibrant colors of our sunsets, may your spirit burn bright with creativity, hope, and love.

Last week, we had an amazing snowstorm here at the studio. Being snowed in provided a great opportunity to just hunker down and focus on simple pleasures: preparing a beautiful meal, enjoying the quiet, working on paintings, and dreaming. I am currently creating a new series of drawings for the “Masters of Drawing” Exhibition, which will open in February 2025 at the Maynard Dixon Museum | Medicine Man Gallery in Tucson, AZ. I am very excited as drawing is one of my first loves; I find it very meditative, and I don’t often get the opportunity to share this part of my studio practice.

I just thought that I would share a bit about what is inspiring me these days. And that is a return to life, painting from life, that is! In my most inspired times, I am out in it! That is to say, painting, drawing, or photographing what I love! I look forward to the cozy, short days where I can hunker down and hone my ideas and skills.

It’s Spring in Santa Fe and we’ve survived another winter, this one a little longer than others! The last few months have been a blur– I went to Los Angeles for the Masters of the American West show at the Autry Museum and then a little seaside break and now back in my studio preparing for my big solo show at Blue Rain Gallery in Santa Fe.

I'm honored to be participating for the second consecutive year in the Autry Museum’s Masters of the American West Show. This exhibition includes the top Native and Western artists working in the genre today and I'm honored to be a part of this wonderful event. While the exhibition opened February 10th, the Art Sale and Gala Evening happens this Saturday, February 24, 2024. I will be traveling there this week to be there in person throughout the entire event. So, if you happen to be in Los Angeles this weekend, stop by and say hello.

It has been a dream of mine to find a way to keep in communication with all the wonderful collectors, friends and colleagues I have met during this artistic journey.
