From The Studio - October

Hi friends and collectors,

Happy Fall!

It was nice to wake up to cooler temperatures, and I even caught a glimpse of snow-covered peaks on the Sangre de Cristo Mountains from my studio window this morning!

I just thought that I would share a bit about what is inspiring me these days. And that is a return to life, painting from life, that is! In my most inspired times, I am out in it! That is to say, painting, drawing, or photographing what I love! I look forward to the cozy, short days where I can hunker down and hone my ideas and skills.

There are plenty of exciting upcoming shows and events, some of which can be found below. Thank you again for following me on my journeys; I am so happy to have you along!

See you in the studio,

- Kathryn

It’s been an exciting and busy season…

And I’m thrilled to share what I’ve been up to!

My summer show at Blue Rain Gallery in Santa Fe, "West: Real, Imagined," was a tremendous success! My exhibition featured nearly 20 original paintings, many of which found new homes. It was an incredible experience surrounded by the support of both familiar faces and new friends alike, making the event all the more special.

This momentum has carried into Fall, with my work featured in "Western Horizons," an exhibition of original landscape paintings at Blue Rain Gallery in Durango, CO. The show was another huge success, with several paintings sold and receiving a fantastic response from collectors and visitors.

My work is also highlighted in “Those Who Follow” at the Maynard Dixon Museum, Medicine Man Gallery, in Tucson, AZ. I am thrilled to be featured with other gallery artists, celebrating the grand opening of the NEW Maynard Dixon Museum and capturing visitors with its rich exploration of Western art.

Most recently, I was featured in Art Untamed,” a prestigious event hosted by The Bryan Museum in Galveston in Houston, TX. The signature showcase took place at the stunning Coronado Club in downtown Houston, where my paintings were featured alongside some truly remarkable works.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and celebrated with me during this exciting season!

There’s still much more to come…

I’m very excited about my next show!

Blue Rain Gallery presents its Annual Miniature Show and the Guadalupe Project, a Benefit for Red Willow Hospice. The opening reception is November 29th from 5 to 8 p.m., and I hope to see you there! Since it is the holiday season, the exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to acquire an original work of art for a gift—one that will be cherished for many years!
